1 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT   March 8, 2010

Warning, do not buy this product. I used the battery pack in my 1 week old balance board and it messed up the internal mechanics of the balance board. We were getting the "Step off the balance board" message when noone was on it. I called Nintendo and they said they do not authorize the use of this product and it has been known to reprogram the mechanices of the board and create this error message causing your board to be inoperative. Thankfully, I had just purchased the board at BestBuy and was witin the 30 day return policy otherwise Nintendo said I would have to send the board in for repairs and pay for it myself. We had no idea that using this battery pack would wreck our board and warn consumers not to purchase this product. We are back to using regular batteries and want to warn people about the possible results in using this product

1 out of 5 stars False advertising-why is this even being sold?   February 10, 2010

My husband purchased this when he purchased the Wii and the wii Fit video. The photos on the box show a mat, some socks, a battery charger, a carrier for the balance board, AND a balance board with a gel cover. Other than the photo on the box, neither of us had ever seen a balance board so it seemed odd that they could get that flat board into that long, thin rectangular box but hey, anything is possible-perhaps it is flexable. Or perhaps it comes in a separate box that you have to send away for. What is actually in the box is everything shown EXCEPT the balance board. That's something I would have liked to have known before we purchased it. The purpose of having everything in the fitness bundle if there is no board is what?
I did a search for Wii balance board" and came up with nothing except covers. I didn't know that I should have been looking for "Wii Fit", a title that includes nothing about a board but is the board. Apparently the Wii Fitness bundle and the Wii Fit (board) were sold separately but are now packaged as Wii Fitness Plus Bundle. For those of us who are new to the world of Wii, this is very confusing and a lot of money is being spent needlessly. Of course, maybe that is the point. Local merchants explained this to me. Amazon didn't. There's no mention of "Oh and by the way, you might like to purchase the Wii Fit (board)at the same time." Wii were fooled,

5 out of 5 stars Great bundle   February 3, 2010

Purchased this primarily for the rechargeable battery pack and skin cover. Works great, very pleased. Amazon delivers once again!

3 out of 5 stars Is this needed   January 27, 2010

It seemed like a good idea. Buy everything together and save. Our family has been using the balance board quite a bit since xmas, but I haven't seen an issue with the battery to use the special charger, we have never used the socks, and the bag only holds the board (why do you need a bag?) The mat is on the thin size, but anyone that is into the Yoga portions will have a mat 3x as good. So the price is right for everything, but you don't need it. The best part is the silicon cover, but you could buy that buy itself.
