2 out of 5 stars pretty much junk   January 2, 2010
J. R. Smith (South Carolina)
these are pretty much junk, but that's kind of what i figured at this price... the remotes don't fit in real good and you have to take them out to push A or select anything. They are definitely kid's size. they work how they are supposed to, but i think the game is more fun without them...

1 out of 5 stars Good idea... has a few problems though   July 20, 2009

I bought these on clearance at a discount retail store (thank goodness), so I can take them back and get an easy refund if needed. And thats what happened. I had high hopes for these, they are 'UFC' open finger style. I played the boxing game on the Wii Sports since that game is all hand movement oriented for the controls. What happens is, when the remote is secured in the pouch on top of the gloves, the line of site for sensor is almost totally blocked. This makes any other navigation a pain.
As far as playing the game, things dont get any better. If you stand in your average boxer stance, your character seems to want to be leaning WAY to the right, with the left hand way out to the side. When you throw punches, the response is, maybe about 80% accurate at best.

Bottom line is, these are more of a complete hinderance than a cool way to play boxing on Wii. (at least for the beginner boxing game)

5 out of 5 stars Great Gloves With A Few Modifications   June 3, 2009

I got these gloves to use with Gold's Gym for the Wii.

I simply removed the gray foam inside the gloves and re-insert them upside down. Now put in the Wii remove, top buttons facing upward. This does two things. One, it puts less pressure on the top of your hand when the Wii remote is inside the glove. Two, you can now press the A button and others as well.

Finally, cut out a small window from the silk type material where the wii remote sensor is in front of the glove. This allows the sensor to be recognized at all times. They work great now.

Though I agree these boxing gloves will not work with boxing games that requires lots of button pressing while punching at the same time.

1 out of 5 stars Worthless   March 9, 2009

Remove and numbchuck do not fit in the glove. If you can jam it in, there is no way to press the buttons. Completely worthless.

1 out of 5 stars Hate these! Do not buy.   February 24, 2009

These do not work with the boxing game my grandson has for his Wii! When you put the controlers in the top of the gloves you cannot work the buttons! These were a waste of money!
