Defective and NOT as advertised. February 15, 2010 Jeremy L. Brown (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like many who have reviewed this item, I was skeptical yet purchased the item because the price was so low I figured I'd only be out a few dollars.
The first thing I noticed was the packaging shows the cable as 2 feet in length, while the description of the product I purchased specifically listed 6 feet in length. After removing the cable from the packaging, it is indeed 2 feet long. The discrepancy in length was an inconvenience as I had to rearrange my entertainment system to move the Wii closer to the TV, because well I needed a 6 foot cable.
Besides the fact that the cable is too short, I too have a cable that displays wavy horizontal lines across the screen. The lines seem to intensify with audio also. Pretty sure this is simply inadequate shielding and poor construction.
Cable works great. February 11, 2010 Jeffrey Hoyle The cable works great, I'm not sure if the video quality got any better but I needed to move it to this type of connection so another game could use my three plug connection and my TV only has one of those.
Totally Worth It February 5, 2010 Steven A. Dunn (Saint Louis, MO) This cord works exactly as expected for a fourth of the price of other cables. People who say there is no difference between 480i & 480p are completely wrong. Makes a huge difference, especially in games where text is involved.
HD Component Cable for Nintendo Wii January 3, 2010 Daniel Roberts (Chandler, AZ) Plugged in the component cable and now makes my Wii look better. What else can I say?
Terrible; Don't buy January 2, 2010 D. T. Poe 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I hooked the cable up I got red lines all over the screen. I tried a couple of different inputs to make sure it was the cable. Same crappy result every time.
